I use bluetooth for : remote presentation, file transfer, etc. but problem appear while use with slackware 12.2. Bluetooth on systray fail, looks like no bluetooth device available.

As computer practician I’m extremly while using devices, as a proof, my laptop dvd now can’t read dvd or cd insert it, the dvd device now go blind. Battery dead, but already replaced coz I get disturbed if have to move from one place to another, specially when the place to move is not to far from the beginning place. I have to shutdown the computer before move, and wait it boot again in the destination place.

As computer practician install - reinstall software is routine activity. When a lot of software get installed, some of it leave files that makes another software use it an when it different version or setting the software become weird. When it happen, I choose to reinstall the whole computer.

I just found (incidentially) how to make my synaptics mouse pad work properly, if read my previous post about slackware 12, the problem is parameter when loading mouse module proto imps2, just delete that, and synaptics mousepad work properly now, here some features of synaptics mouse pad that work on my slackware :
click : tap
right click : tap on bottom right of pad
button 3 (paste in gpm / mouse) : tap on top right of pad
horizontal scroll (button 4 / button 5) : drag top to bottom and vice versa at right side of pad
vertical scroll : drag at left to right and vice versa at bottom pad

Glad to use synaptics again , but off course you need to configure your X Server to make your synaptics mousepad work.

After several times using laptop with slackware, most of peripheral work fine. Graphic running smooth with beryl 3D desktop now I use compiz-fusion, sound already work right from the start, wire and wireless network adapter, but still on glitch. Laptop presentation.

I can’t count how many mail server installed by me. From the start learning howto install and configure mail server I use qmail, that why all of mail server that I install is Qmail.

Special for my buddy Haerul who asked me “How to share internet connection with Slackware linux”

Sharing internet connection is not a big problem, you just need to type at least 5 line command to do it.
You just need to :
Enable IP Forward in our Linux box,
Accept connection from another host to be masquerade as your box,
Accept other host to forward through your box. That’s it. And we’re done.

If you like me, not lucky guy, have a laptop but not all key function normally. Unfortunately there is a ky that when get touch change the brightness to very high and make laptop screen very shiny.

I usually reboot my laptop and push combinaton key Fn+F8 before my linux boot.
But now is to easy to change my laptop brightness.

What command that I use? the answer is “echo”.

National Taekwondo Championship
I’ve been participated in National Taekwondo Championship for five times. The result is I always lose. Until the last championship in samarinda, I get through final in welter class. Beat by taekwondoin from Jakarta (DKI), Rivai, and deserved to have silver medals.
This result is more special, couse this championship is a qualification for PON (national sport games).

Saat ini hampir setiap orang punya Handphone (HP), bahkan ada yang lebih dari satu, itu wajar karena kebutuhan komunikasi mobilitas yang tinggi ditambah dengan beragamnya provider telepon selular. Namun ada kalanya kita tidak membutuhkan Handphone bahkan merasa terganggu contohnya jika sedang melakukan ibadah, tidak terbatas hanya di mesjid ditempat ibadah - ibadah yang lain pun saya kira seperti itu.

Namun, tidak semua pengguna HP yang punya toleransi sehingga terkadang masih ada juga HP yang aktif di saat - saat acara ibadah berlangsung, disaat kita butuh kekhusyukan mendengarkan ceramah atau pun pada saat melakukan shalat.
